Vass, Member of PDMA Carolina Chapter and President of The Private Capital Market, Inc.
Summary: Clayton Christensen has suggested that theory building in the area of product innovation is an on-going process. We agree, but would add the insight from Marx that at some point, theory must be reduced to praxis.
We intend to run a real- time experiment applying some of Clayton Christensen’s ideas about disruptive technology to the Research Triangle region of North Carolina. Most of Christensen's ideas about technological innovation apply to innovation within multinational corporations, but we think his ideas can be modified to promote technological disruption in a regional economy.
