Rob is co-founder and President of FineLine Prototyping, Inc., a rapid prototyping and manufacturing service organization specializing in high-accuracy, high-resolution parts. An NC State Mechanical Engineer by education, he has been involved with the Rapid Prototyping industry for the past 20 years, beginning at United Technologies Pratt & Whitney in West Palm Beach, FL. After leaving Pratt & Whitney, he joined Motorola where he pioneered the implementation of Rapid Prototyping into Motorola’s product development process. Before founding FineLine Prototyping, Rob managed the Rapid Prototyping and Rapid Tooling efforts at a corporate level at the medical device manufacturer Becton Dickinson. Rob was the 1998 Chairman of the North American Stereolithography Users Group, and is a frequent speaker at international conferences in the RP industry.
