ADR Hydro Cut, Inc. is located on International Drive in Morrisville, a convenient location to just about anywhere in the Triangle. ADR was founded in 1998 by Al Ely and Ron Harris. ADR is a water jet cutting job shop and all we do is cut parts and solve problems. In the beginning Al and Ron made a decision to only cut parts and offer no other services. “We wanted to do work for as many fabrication shops in the region and knew we did not want to become their competition, so we market ourselves as being an off site cutting resource for all of our customers.” ADR stocks a wide variety of materials and can track down just about any type of material that customers need to have cut. Cutting parts with water means there is no heat introduced into the cutting process and very thick (6”) material is not a problem. So far there are only 3 things that are resistant to cutting and they are: the tiles from the bottom of the space shuttle, safety glass, and some laminates. ADR has cut parts for customers from all over the globe. Al Ely says “I do not know how some of our customers find us, but find us they do, and usually from references.”
Al and Ron have an artistic background, so they have a tendency to think out side of the box in relationship to accomplishing difficult tasks.
